Navigating Parenthood: Roles, Types and Factors Affecting Effective Child Rearing.


Parenting is the act of raising a child or children and providing for them physically, emotionally and psychologically for the purpose of their growths.


Types of parents:

Authoritative parenting: This kind of parents develop a nurturing relationship with their children. Although,they can be authoritative most times but, they have their reasons associated with disciplinary actions.


Permissive parenting: This kind of parents tend to be more lenient with their children. They impose limited rules on their children. This category of parents, allow their children to figure things out themselves.


Roles of parents:


Training: Training is a major aspect that must be keenly executed by parents. In order to have a peaceful old age as a parent you must and should train your kids well. Telling them the ethical and moral aspect of life.

Other roles of parents: 


As a parent,provision is very crucial for the developmental facet of the children. Parents should be able to provide the children's basic needs like food, clothes, and other necessary things.


Enrollment : Parents should also enroll their children as this is their responsibility.

Security: Parents are the first security agent in the lives of their children and they should maintain that. They are to protect them from harm either physically or emotionally.



Factors affecting parenting:


When it comes to parenting,there is a large dimensions among families . 


Cultural Backgrounds:It has a fundamental impact on how family exist and how children are being trained. For example,a child trained by an American parents would be different from a child trained by an African parents, because of their cultural backgrounds.

 

Social Economy Factor: This is one of the factors that contributes immensely to a parenthood. A child raised by an average parents would be different from a child raised by a financially buoyant parents, because, their economy backgrounds differs.


Parental Unity:

This also influences parenthood. A child raised by a single parent would be clearly different from a child raised by both parents.


Benefits of carrying out most the parental responsibility: 


For the purpose of peace of mind,any parent who do not train their children are liable to die young because of the problems that the children would be causing here and there and this can lead to the parents' early grave. But, the parents that train their children will likely enjoy peace in their old age.


Investment: During the process of enrolling and providing other basic needs for your children the parents are making an investment that they would enjoy in their later years.


Achievement: Any parents who did not train or provide for their children have not achieve anything tangible in life. The parents that have fulfilled all these are accomplished parents.
